Some medical services are covered by BC’s Medical Services Plan. Others are not, and are billed to you or to the organization requesting them.
Covered by MSP
Publicly funded healthcare
Our doctors provide routine office visits as well as counseling on prevention of illness, offer appropriate screening tests, send you for investigations, monitor your chronic medical conditions, diagnose your new illnesses, provide specialist referrals when indicated, and treat your medical concerns.

British Columbia’s Medical Services Plan (MSP) pays for any of the services you receive from your doctor. However, the plan does not cover certain “uninsured services”. If you are uncertain as to whether a service is covered by MSP or not please ask our reception staff.

The below uninsured services require the time and expertise of your doctor and staff. As a result, you will be billed a fee to cover these costs.

What it costs
Fees vary from one service to another. Reception can quote any uninsured service before you book, so you know the cost in advance.
